Retreat Cornhole Tournament

An option for your Saturday is the Cornhole Tournament, starting after the archery and Annie Oakley activities.

Sign up for this when you arrive Friday night, or by the end of breakfast on Saturday morning. Two guys per team.

No one to team up with? Just circle your name on the separate “Singles” list, and the tournament coordinator will assign you a partner.

Game details:

  1. Teams alternate tossing the bags.

  2. 15-minute game times.

  3. First team to 21 points wins.

  4. The winning team is responsible for reporting the score to the tournament coordinator.

  5. Only bags on the board or through the hole are counted. If a bag hits the ground and bounces onto the board, it must be taken off the board with no points for that bag.

  6. A bag tossed into the hole counts as 3 points. A bag on the board is 1 point. A bag hanging over the edge of the hole is also just 1 point.

  7. Scoring is “net” for each set of tosses. Example: Team “A” tosses one bag in the hole (3 points) and one bag on the board (1 point), so 4 points total. Team “B” tosses one bag on the board, and none in the hole, so 1 point total. Net score is 3 for Team “A”. The team with net points goes first for the next set of tosses (Team “A” in this example). If the net score is zero, the team that went first goes first again.

  8. Winning teams advance to the next round. The final two teams compete Saturday night for the championship prizes.
